Whether you're looking for more bite or more glide, we offer a range of blade hollows to help you optimize your on-ice performance. Only use PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Grinding Wheels with the PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Skate Sharpener. Use of any other grinding wheels may damage the machine and void warranty.

There are two types of wheels you’ll use to sharpen your skates. Use a Hollow Grinding Wheel to sharpen to your favorite radius of hollow. A 5/8” wheel is a great place to start. As you get familiar with your wheel preferences. you’ll learn how ice conditions and your style of play affect your hollow of choice.

A Flat Grinding Wheel will also come in handy to “reset” your blade - important when prepping new steel or refreshing damaged edges. On average, a wheel will sharpen about 75 pairs of skates. Your PROSHARP skate sharpener will notify you when it’s time for a new wheel!
