This Mizuno Techfire glove is going to feature the triumvirate of benefits that nearly all slow pitch players want: (1) Long length (2) A lightweight feel (3) An easy break-in.
(1) The 14-inch length is going to make this glove huge! It is typically one to which outfielders on the slow pitch diamond will be attracted. However, if you are feeling that you need the extra reach on the infield, you could use it there too (the slow pitch softball circumference is so large that it won't get lost in the length of the glove).
(2) This glove combines a high-quality leather material on the catching surface, but the backing of the glove will be made from EVA foam. The EVA foam material is used throughout the sporting goods industry to provide a lightweight material that will also deliver the necessary structure for performance.
(3) With the foam backing, the break-in period for this glove should be really short. There might even be some players out there that can take it straight to a ballgame on day 1.
Lastly, it will have an adjustable velcro wrist strap on the back that will make it very easy to get big and small hands securely into the glove!
