Brand new for 2022, True builds off the success of the Catalyst line by introducing the True Catalyst PX Senior Goalie Stick! New material advances have allowed True to build an improved stick that weighs 25 grams less than the previous generation 9X while maintaining the beloved flex profile, bend strength and impact requirements.
Starting at the blade and paddle, the Catalyst PX features an all-new Tri Rib Tech (TRT) structure, which features strategic rib placements throughout the blade; designed to match puck impact points and provide a more stable blade structure on impact. True’s all-new Focused Resin Flow (RESFLO) technology minimizes voids throughout the blade and paddle, which results in a stronger, more consistent laminate.
The Catalyst PX keeps the popular redesigned higher flex zone in the paddle first introduced in the 9X, giving the stick a mid-kick profile. This flex profile is optimized for easier, faster loading times and more powerful passes while clearing the puck.
Moving up to the handle of the True Catalyst PX, you will notice a departure from the A-series, with a more rounded corner of the shaft and a steeper angle, also carrying on from the 9X. This allows for added grip and ultimate feel while stickhandling.
Finally, throughout the True Catalyst PX, True’s Precision Laminate Design (PLD) optimizes the angles of the carbon fiber layers throughout the shaft, which offers increased impact strength and optimal stiffness while reducing the weight of the stick.
